Bayswater

vs.

Wembley

Saturday 19 June – Floreat Oval

Saturday saw a disappointing effort from the State league side going down to league leaders Wembley by 5 goals.

For the second time in a row against Wembley we found ourselves down 6-0 before we got on the board. After Wembleys fast start, which was largely helped by careless Baysie turnovers the game evened out.

Best on ground for Baysie was David Jobson who wound back the clock with a vintage performance in the face-off.

Disappointingly the game ended with BLC in the penatly box for unsportmanslike penalties which will mean the playing list will be tested again this week with players missing due to suspension.

The team will be buoyed by the return/debut of Matthew Shields who will be returning from the US to play for WA in the Under 17 National Championships which commence on the 4th July.

This weeks challenge will be Wanneroo, Baysie will be hungry for a win to enter the Mid-Season Break for the World Championships.

It will be exciting times for the club after the break with the return of several senior players and the arrival of American Import Chris Taylor, Chris is coming to us after a stellar career at Georgetown University where he was a captain and key part of their midfield.
